SUMMARY:NCSCLS Business Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Dear Members\, \nIn these challenging times\, I hope you are doing well and safe. \nOur State Society is strong despite the setbacks from the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of the pandemic\, we were unable to meet and learn from each other this year. The Board canceled our April 3rd-Spring symposium. We refunded all registration fees in a timely fashion. We were also able to negotiate our way out from all agreements/contracts\, at no cost to the society. While I regret that we were unable to meet\, learn\, and perhaps generate some funds for the society from the symposium\, it is good to report that we did not lose any money either. I am proud of the tremendous efforts of the Board in planning what would have been another promising and successful conference. I thank all the Speakers who had agreed to share their expertise and knowledge at the Symposium. \nRecently\, the Board decided against a Fall conference because of the lingering uncertainties with the virus and the challenges associated in planning/putting together such an event. I hope that we will be back to holding a symposium next spring. \nOne thing we have traditionally accomplished at our Spring Conferences is to hold a “Business Meeting”. In line with the National organization\, the Board approved that we organize this year’s Business Meeting on Zoom. Therefore\, I am inviting you all to a Zoom NCSCLS Business Meeting on May 14\, 2020 at 7:00pm.
